Pasadena grew rapidly at the beginning of the 20th century. Magnificent resort hotels attracted visitors from near and far, inspiring some to stay. On this tour, we’ll explore some of the earliest residential subdivisions, including Westmoreland Place and Prospect Park. Lined with majestic camphor trees, Prospect Park boasts houses designed by some of the era's most celebrated architects, including Greene & Greene, Heineman & Heineman, and even Frank Lloyd Wright! You’ll learn about the fascinating (and sometimes quirky!) people who called this area home, as well as the architecture and botanical environment of the neighborhoods overlooking the Arroyo Seco.
